Effective 7/1/2001, a husband and wife can hold property as community property with right of survivorship.  California Civil Code section 682.1

Note:  In some smaller estates or assets you do not want to place in a Trust, this method of title holding can be used as long as the fair market value of the asset is more than the basis of the asset.
